The Cleveland Browns made a series of minor roster moves on Saturday in preparation for Sunday's AFC North divisional game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team promoted cornerback Tim Harris and safety Jovante Moffatt to the active roster for the game, and also re-signed offensive tackle Alex Taylor to the practice squad. We have elevated CB Tim Harris and S Jovante Moffatt to the active roster. The 6-foot-2 and 197-pound Harris has spent the previous seven weeks on Cleveland's practice squad. He was originally a sixth-round selection by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2019 NFL Draft, and spent his rookie season on injured reserve Tony Fields II Jersey. He was on San Francisco's practice squad for all but two games in 2020. The Browns are in need of another cornerback with Denzel Ward being out for Sunday's game and A. J. Green being listed as questionable with a groin injury. On Friday they signed cornerback Herb Miller to the active roster from the practice squad. Miller has played on special teams the past two games and along with Harris adds some depth to the position. The 5-foot-11 and 213-pound Moffatt was signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and ended up playing nine games as a rookie. He was elevated to the active roster for the Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, where he ended up playing 17 snaps on special teams. He has been on the team's practice squad for the other six weeks. The Browns waived the 6-foot-8 and 301-pound Taylor on Friday when they designated Nick Harris to return from the injured reserve list. Taylor has bounced around from the practice squad to the active roster to the waiver wire on a regular basis this season Nick Chubb Jersey. Cleveland originally signed Taylor in 2020 as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina State and added him to the practice squad on October 26 of last season. He appeared in one game during the regular season. Players elevated from the practice squad will immediately revert back to the practice squad the day after the game.
